Im gonna show you all how I make my pixels.
we're gonna start with pixeling an APPLE!
I made this with psp7, but you can make it in any program like this.

1) first of all I opened up a new transparant Image.
I made mine size 50x50 px
and zoom in... A LOT!!

2) then I click the paint brush tool and make the colour black.
it's an easy colour to start with..

3) start with making the outlines.
make the corners run very smooth, no square sharp edges, but ROUND

4) so when you got the outlines done.
I start coloring it, first the basic colours.

5) now you can start with adding some shading, I reccomand to do this
because it makes the pixel more realistic and it looks a lot better.
ok first I choose a slightly darker colour then the basic colour.
to make the dark shadow ( just do this around the edge )

6) then you choose a slightly lighter colour then the basic colour
and colour the middle of your pixel..
just leave like 2px around the edge of the basic colour.

7) repeat that until you can't lighten up the middle of it anymore.

8) now pick a darker colour then the darkshadow and colour the outlines
of your pixel.

+) ok, now your random apple is done! you can add some details to it.
like I made a leaf and a cute face ^____^
well that isn't so hard is it? just takes a bit of your time..
